It’s important as a photographer to always be ready to save the moment… This is one of a few images I took of a Tropical Mocking Bird eating what we here call “Mammy Apple”. Had to sneak up on him seeing I was only armed with my 28-135mm USM on my Rebel XS… I actually managed to get within 4 feet of him, despite the harsh and over-powering backlight I was able to capture this beautiful portrait of him… Always keep armed, a great image is just a thought without a camera to record it…
